MARCH MADNESS & APRIL GLADNESS
March has been a marathon month for us here in Moldova. We have been extremely busy with the PA work that President Ivory has ask us to head up. Since the pamphlets were finished we have been working on the Easter Card that the missionaries have been waiting for to deliver to those who order it on our Facebook page. Facebook.com/mormonii.R.Moldova. Look us up and like our page. The plan was to have them done be the middle of March so the missionaries would have plenty of time to deliver them, 500 of them. We have 8 sets of missionaries in a city of 700,000 people and only a couple weeks before Easter, which is celebrated on the 12th of April.
With the translations of the text and videos in Russian and Romanian, it has taken forever. We were 2 weeks late but the Facebook page was finally open Friday March 27 and the advertising started on April first. So we are ready to go. OOPS, what else could possibly go wrong. We checked the printer, they were done with all the printing of the cards, and they were in the process of putting the boxes together and the videos were to be shipped from Russia. Yes, another snag they sent us the wrong videos. So how do we get 1,000 videos from Russia before 6:00 tonight. I am not sure this miracle can happen but if it does it will be a real blessing.
Why do we need the videos today? We ordered 500 hundred of the videos to hand out to the English class students. We already missed the classes yesterday and didn't want to miss getting them out today. We can't possibly deliver all 1000 by the 12th in a city without STREET SIGNS. It makes for interesting times when we try to find someone or some thing where we haven't been before. Like on Saturday we took 2 missionaries to visit a less active man and it took us 2 hours to finally get to his apartment. The missionaries called him and he let them into the block (that's what they call the apartment buildings here that were left from the Soviet era), he unlocked the door but when they got upstairs he wouldn't answer the door.
I love these missionaries, this experience just made them want to contact him again and hopefully this time he will let them in. The plan is that the missionaries will have to deliver 3 per day to get the Easter cards out before the 12th. This will include the adult missionaries driving the sisters and elders around most days. The ADVENTURES never STOP!
Pictures of the Month!
I am dedicating these auto pictures to my beloved GRANDSONS! This is going from cheep, cheep to over the top!

Our EASTER CARDS are done!!!!!
MEET THE MORMONS MOLDOVA
We are still looking for Spring here. It just keeps on raining (sorry California) and seems like the mornings are the winter mornings of January and the wind is cold and miserable. But alas, I see the tulips coming up and some of the trees are starting to bud and green leaves are appearing on trees and bushes. There are signs of SPRING!.
The cards are done but Facebook ads are not bringing in many orders. This means other choices need to be brought forth and so we changed the Facebook page and also advertise on other media but still not many sign up. So Elder Bateman suggests that we do a STREET BOARD. We have 1100 videos in total and we have only a week now to get them out.
Sister Bischoff and Sora Elliott spend time at the park with the street board.
The street board scores! In just a few hours the missionaries gave out 200 and had people write down friends or family we could take them to. The second day the missionaries do it again and the third and fourth we now only have about 200 left we have orders to fill and we need a few for the villages. So after all the worry and fretting the MISSION EASTER CARD IS SUCCESSFUL!
BECAUSE OF HIM with Romanian and Russian sub titles.
This movie literally took 2 months to get done! Elder Cooley spent countless hours on the phone with Germany, Russia and Romania trying to get the OK for the dubbing and sub-titling in the different languages. When you live in a country where the language spoken is half Russian and the other half Romanian, you have to be careful not to leave out or offend the people speaking either language. We also spent countless hours at Good Media and almost drove them to a heart attack. They are so kind and patient with us and the church in general. We are honored to be able to work with Liviu and Alexandru managing partners of Good Media.
MEET THE MORMONS MOLDOVA
We appreciated the members who were so kind and patient with us and the filming crew. The members are real stars and we love them.
We also had the movie HE IS RISEN and 5 HUMANITARIAN short clips. They were all put on a video and packaged in the card that is shown above.
We had lots of compliments on the Easter Card and know that anyone who views it will feel the SPIRIT and know that this conveys the true meaning of EASTER. The missionaries had some wonderful experiences when they meet with people to give them the card.
