A NEW HOME, NEW COUNTRY & NEW CALLING

The days after the entourage from Germany and President Ivory left seem like a blur. We spent days, afternoon and evenings looking for a suitable apartment. We were especially grateful for the Elder and Sora Flanders, our CES couple. They taxied us around day and night from one end of the city to the other. They even spent time taking us to their FAMILY HOME EVENING, INSTITUTE, and activities they have with the young single adults. They also feed and gave us encouragement when needed.

Hooray, we found our new home for the next 17 months. We were all surprised when it ended up being in a building with in walking distance from the Flanders and Elders Daland and Hammer. (They are awesome missionaries).  They are our Zebras, one Romanian speaking one Russian.

We live up the first staircase and on the third floor.

We climb 58 stairs to our apartment and 58 stairs down times a few trips a day. Our legs should be strong by the time we get home. It really hurts when you get to the bottom then remember something that you need to go back for! After a few things were forgotten, now we always stage the things we need to take with us for the day so we don't forget anything.

               We have been blessed to have wonderful places to live while we serve the Lord! 

This is our view out our back window. The HILL just above the home under construction is the very place where Elder Ballard DEDICATED Moldova to the Lord in 2001. In his dedicatory prayer he said there would be STAKES of ZION here in this country. Some of the things Elder Ballard said in his prayer are already becoming visible.  The country has about 200 plus members at this time so WE have a lot of WORK to do and the MISSIONARIES are doing that one baptism at a time.
